Chuck,
I go the tip about running 'CALL QSYS/QWCCRTEC it will do a quicky dump to QPSRVDMP spool file' from the Midrange Computing and it was a recommended way to determine the issues about the last IPL.  Therefore I think it's safe.  I just do not have that level of authority to run this job at my site.

Can you elaborate on QWCCRTEC ?

Is it "safe" to run (i.e. just dumps to a spool file and NOTHING else) ?

TIA,

Chuck

Hi all,I work for a company that has 28 AS400's spread throughout the country and it'd be nice to be able to determine the last ipl date & time on these machines without having to bother someone in operations to look it up for me.  I know if you CALL QSYS/QWCCRTEC it will do a quicky dump to QPSRVDMP spool file with a blow by blow of the last system IPL... but I ain't authorized to run this program on these machines as I am but a lowly programmer security classification. Thanks to all and have a great day!T.L.Truax
