Why not just "TFRJOB QCTL"

Then "ENDSBS QINTER *IMMED"

Much easier and quicker since you already have to kick every one off. it will
do it for you.

One thing I do, every user runs one of two initial programs.
If I need to get everyone off the system, but don't want to end
it to a restricted state...

ALCOBJ CONEX/STARTIV *PGM *EXCL
ALCOBJ CONEX/STARTV *PGM EXCL

Then kick everyone off the system. Now no one can log in,
when they try they get dumped right back to the log in screen.

And if I need to log into the system I just type in the PROGRAM
filed *NONE

Then when I'm done, I either unallocate the 2 programs, or I just
log off (which releases them).

I know this doesn't' help in the system save, but is a tidbit that
might come in handy sometime.

Regards,

Jim Langston
