True confessions dept:  I'm the guy that got it started, by MISTAKE!

I meant to do a private reply to one of our list contributors (you
know who you are, Larry) who uses "What if it's True?" as part of
his signature line.  I thought I did the copy/paste of his email ID
into the "To:" part of the message header (replacing Midrange-L) but
I apparently blew it and posted my question about his having heard of
Pascal's wager to the list . . . by MISTAKE.

That said, I was impressed by Hans Boldt's reply.  He took the time
to "think" that Larry said was the reason for the signature line.

Henceforth, I will double check the "To:" entry on my off-list
replies.
