See Bell's "Men of Mathematics" for a highly opinionated view of Pascal's philosophical side. Whether it applied to the particular situation Pascal considered is probably a topic for a different forum. <g> > -----Original Message----- > From: jcbradley@voyager.net [mailto:jcbradley@voyager.net] > Sent: Wednesday, January 12, 2000 3:11 AM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: What if it's True? > > > >-- > >Larry Bolhuis | What if it's True? > > Then again, what if it isn't true? > > Ever hear of Pascal's wager? > > +--- > | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! > | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. > | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. > | To unsubscribe from this list send email to > MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. > | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: > david@midrange.com > +--- > +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
