The files are DB2 files on the AS/400.  They need to go to a PC based
package that needs to read them in ASCII format.  I thought that I needed to
use an ODBC tool like CA to translate them going down.  I don't think I can
just FTP them, the PC package would not read them.  Any other ideas, lief?

If they are already in EBCDIC text format (i.e. does not contain any packed
decimal or binary data), you could FTP the files down to your PC. You can
write a script to control the FTP process (if you have to download the files
several times).
