The document I have says:

9100 for all HP, Lexmark and most IBM printers.
2501 for IBM Network Printers
If neither of these values is successful, consult the manufarcturer of your
printer to determine if your printer has a dedicated port that accepts
PCL/PJL commands.

I am setting up a LAN printer on our AS/400 using TCP/IP. I am using the
CRTDEVPRT and need to know what is the standard port for printing using IP.

Considered it, but after looking at the code & speaking to a former jba
programmer i decided against it.
Most of the routines are years old and i'm sure haven't kept pace with
changes in the product, plus some modules (ie Warehousing) don't have a
routine.
We even want to delete sales anaysis information - something you wouldn't
normally do!

To explain: we aren't deleting a company as such, we are combining 3
companies into 1. The data will be fiddled around with to put everything in
the right place; i just then want to completely splat any reference anywhere
to the old ones. The blunderbuss approach seems more fun too!

Stuart
