This proves an old programming axiom: the absence of bugs does prove their
non-existence.

But let me add another axiom: A bug dormant for seven years isn't a bug;
it's a behaviorial anomaly that should be ignored.

Trust me, Jeff! DO NOT FIX that bug. You'll introduce five others your users
_will_ find if you do. Guaranteed.
