  • Subject: CISC vs RISC RPGLE
  • From: Debbie Helms <DHelms@xxxxxxxxx>

Over the weekend we implemented a new system. This system was thoroughly
tested on a 320 CICS box 3.2...Sunday all the programs were moved over to a
640 RISC box 4.1. One of the programs absolutely would not execute the
same. Being sure it was a file problem much time was spent looking there.
Finally being exhausted a debug was setup. The program is an RPGLE. We
had to put a "key" on the second read to make it execute properly. Is there
a list of differences between boxes or is it versions?
