That's a good idea, except when the program bombs it leaves the value
there... on the other hand, that COULD be what you want sometimes?

An easy way to accomplish this is programmatically:  when program starts,
check
a data area for a value.  If dataarea blank, then put in a value to it and
run
program.  If dataarea already contains a value, then display an error
message
and don't run this program.
