  • Subject: Almost FREE Softcopy & Info Center CD-ROMs!

I thought it was a typo.

Found out this morning in News400's NewsWire/400 newsletter that IBM is
offering:

> For a limited time, you can order a kit containing an updated V4R4
> AS/400 Information Center CD-ROM and an AS/400 Softcopy Library
> CD-ROM for the nominal fee of $5.95, which is only what it costs
> to cover shipping. This new version includes manuals not available
> when the library was produced for general availability.

I went to IBM's website via the link provided, but when I got to the page that
asked for credit card, it was a non-secured page! Well I found the 800# and
called and ordered. Should see it in 7 - 10 business days.

So, if you're interested:

Call 800-879-2755, take option 1, then wait for a representative.

Order part number: SK3T-2027-02

The rep will confirm the product description for you.

BTW, I checked the prices for other versions (VnRn) of AS/400 Softcopy CD-ROMs;
they're all $95.  Even though I'm on a V4R2 box, I figured I couldn't go wrong.

Maybe you figure the same.
