Hello Chris,

I don't think there is a better way. I have code that does exactly what you
are
suggesting and I had a quick look through the API manual and didn't find
anything.

I don't know where the distribution queue status is stored but all DSTSRV
configuration
is stored in some of files in QUSRSYS. You could check there and see if
something is
usable.

Regards,
Simon Coulter.

M sent the following request earlier and received no response. Can any one
help?

"Does anyone know how to monitor the status of distribution queues? I need
to automate the monitoring of remote AS400 systems and correct problems
after a failure. I have been unable to find API's and don't like the idea
of printing the status with WRKDSTQ QUEUE(*ALL) OUTPUT(*PRINT) and parsing
the spool file. There's got to be a better way."
