  • Subject: Automating the Operating System Upgrades

Hi,

I am in the process of upgrading yet another operating system (this time
from V4r2 toV4r4 not that it matters). As most people know during a
version upgrade IBM likes to change some system values, subsystem
descriptions and commands. I have been doing most of this manually for
many years. Each account I go to I build a program that is unique to that
account for things I know need changing back after an upgrade. I was
wondering if anyone would be willing to share an automated way to check
for changes made during the upgrade?

Thanks. Not only for this request, but Thanks for all the great wealth of
knowledge shared on this email list.
