So, potentially, you could output to each of the 16 members of this file in the
same run of the program?  As I see it, you have two options:

1. Each time you need to output to a different member, close the file, override
via QCMDEXC, open the file.  But it sounds like you don't want to do this.  If
so, why not?  Too slow?  What's your volume?  Is this a batch or interactive
process?

2. Define the file 16 times in the F-specs, renaming the record format to the
name of each member.  Depending on how static this is (are there always only 16
members?), you might even want to create a logical file for each member.  I.e.,
logical file SAM uses the physical file's member SAM.

Unless I've missed a new technique, I think it's safe to say that you'll have to
perform some type of operations to open each member you want to add records to.
The best way depends on several factors, mentioned above, as well as other
considerations.  Give us some more details, and maybe we can narrow it down a
bit more.
