What would REALLY be great in RPG (since you are making radical changes
anyway)
How about some new I/O and File support functions. 

Like reading/writing (easily) from RPG to the IFS.  

How about being able to READ (maybe program described with some extreme
length, it 
doesn't have to be real) an IFS "File" and use that imput on a write to a
DB2/400 file that
contains a Blob.   The IFS Record/File being the Blob field in the DB2 file.

Or other types of I/O, IFS,  Blob, Clob, etc affinity ?
