STRUNXCMD was from the old AIX Connection Program for AS/400 utility.
Have you tried RUNRMTCMD  ?

Subject:  STRUNXCMD




We have been using the STRUNXCMD for a few years now to start a job on a
remote RS/6000. We moved the application that uses the command to another
AS/400 in our shop and it will no longer work. Both machines are at 4.3. A
call to IBM informed us that this was no longer supported. They suggested
we look into Client Access for Unix. What other options are people using?
