 Can someone (actually, many ones?) please inform the powers that be that
any new DB support must also be put into a native version?  This SQL-only
stuff is really getting annoying.  SQL has its place, but we should not be
forced to change our application implementation (and the other headaches
that go along with it, i.e. source management) in order to take advantage
of any new DB enhancements.

 Sounds like they should have used previous version support.
