     Debbie,
I'm not sure why you'd want to run Oracle when you already have DB2
FIRMLY and completely integrated into OS400. DB2 is not just a
product on the AS400, but rather a necessary part of OS400. Perhaps
your vendor has some sort of API to translate Oracle requests into
DB2 requests. Sounds pretty squirrly to me.

Subject: Oracle on AS/400?

I have a vendor telling me that their Oracle based product can run on
the AS/400 (although I'm not convinced they've actually done it). So,
I checked the Oracle and AS/400 web sites and found I didn't really
     understand what was involved.

Can anyone help me understand this in general terms? It wouldn't be me
that had to make it work, but I'd like to know if it works well or not
and what some of the issues are.

     TIA, Debbie Gallagher
