I know a large company that never restored the system after Y2K testing and
had no problems but there is a lot of confusing junk left over after moving
the date back. As long as it remains a development box you might be
alright. But if you think you may ever use it as more than a development
box you ought to read this...

http://www.as400.ibm.com/developer/year2000/y2sysdat.html

And then restore the system!

For our part, we are doing all of our testing on a loaner box so we will
just send it back when we are done... =)

We will be testing our Y2K on our AS400. Our release is at 3.2. This box
only has the Source programs, Objects and various libraries we keep. It is
not a production AS400 as per say. We have other AS400 's out in the field
which do the production. My question is it necessary to restore the entire
system after we have tested out the Y2K problem like IBM says you have to.
Maybe somebody out there is accomplished this and could give me an answer.

Thanks
