Lurton:
A few ideas here.
1. You are probably suffering a huge performance hit by using SNADS over an
ANYNET connection rather than straight IP using FTP.
2. If you would like to use FTP with IP you can write a program that will
read all the savf file names and then create the FTP script on the fly.
Then start your FTP client on the 400 and override the file INPUT to the
script file you build on the fly. Not too hard to do.
3. There is a product from TrailBlazers Systems (www.softwarejungle.com)
that will allow you to imbed FTP commands into a CL program if you don't
want to go thru the exercise in point 2.
4. Now to answer you actual question. Yes you can have multiple jobs
sending using SNADS. Create multiple distribution queues that point to the
remote system. Keep in mind that due to bandwidth restrictions you may not
realize any performance gains.
HTH.

Subject: Here is a simple question.

>Every night I have 100+ SAVF that need to be sent to another AS/400.
>We use *ANYNET/SNADS over IP. The process takes about 4 hours.
>I noticed that SNADS queues up and sends 1 file at a time.
>Is there a way to change this so that the target user-system is the same
but
>that SNADS sends 2-3 at a time?
>
>We looked at FTP but the list varies from night to night and new ones are
>added and old ones removed constantly.
