Would the short shrift be because mmanagement doesn't realy care about security? What I hear repeatedly is a very loud yawn whenever anyone talks of security, hacks, break-ins, and crashes. Management won't fund extra hardware, software, or training for security issues. Whatever else Microsoft may do, it does know how to follow the ring of the cash register and it is fairly clear that security doesn't ring their bell.
