Alexei,

Your answer is a bit confusing. You can certainly define two domains to the
same AS/400, in fact you can define virtually any number of Domains and up
to 256 IP addresses per NIC card. The SMTP server binds to all domains
defined to the AS/400, not one or the other.

You can route mail based on the SMTP name option of the WRKDIRE command
specifying the domain you wish to associate with a user.

You can define user HARRY at mydomain1.com and SALLY at mydomain2.com. If
you have MX records in your DNS pointing to domain1.com and domain2.com
harry@domain1.com will receive mail and sally@domain2.com will receive mail.

HARRY cannot receive mail at domain2.com and SALLY cannot receive mail at
domain1.com however. Each user must be associated with a single domain
name.

I have 4 domains at one of my companies and over 12 at another.

You cannot have two domains on one system.
But you should be able to have one mail server servicing two domains.
You will need to define user email IDs correctly and setup MX entries for
both
domains in your DNS (or your ISP's DNS).

Subject: Two domains on one AS/400

Can I run two domain names on one AS/400? For instance we would like the
mail
server on the AS/400
to receive and send mail for xxxxx.com and yyyyy.com. Our users would have
to
have an address for
either of the domains, but not both.

We know how to get our ISP to setup the DNS so both domains come down the
pipe
to us. How do we
setup the AS/400?

Do we just add the extra domain to our host list with ADDTCPHTE?
