John, While you can certainly remove Lic Pgms - as Nina said, make it worth your while. Unfortunately I don't think it will be. If you consider that OS/400 comes on 2 or three CD's for everything, removing some peices likely won't net you much of that 10GB. Even so it's worth looking at. Do follow Nina's suggetions (PTF apply, Journals etc) and look also for *SAVFs as they can get big fast. Also look for Performance data (QPFRDATA library and Q1MPGDATA as well) as that can add up. Remove unused device descriptions and user profiles and also get rid of spooled files not deeded and run RCLSPLSTG *NONE (*Warning* This one is real temporary if what you deleted is only a couple days old). As a last ditch effort you can delete LF's that are not used especially over large files (be sure you know how to put them back!). Back in the my B30 days I could really drop that 83% in a hurry. Bad news was we only had 800MB to work with! Dropping 83% down on 10G is not nearly so easy. HTH and Good Luck! - Larry PS, Just drove through your state twice a week ago on I80 and noticed those nasty signs, promising Big $$ Fines for speeding even just a little, are gone. Have they eased up on that a bit or have they just stopped warning us? John P. Walsh wrote: > > Me oh my where did it all go? > > I have a 9404 with 10gig.
