Raj, >>Also, as Dan Bale has mentioned , DFU or DBU may be much easier to just maintain less fields Data base files, which has no editing. I have never thought of this. It also takes care of Duplicate keys. But, it wont be much user friendly.<< Again, as mentioned in an earlier post, whether you want to go with a DFU or DBU app or write one from scratch depends on how often it will be used and what your data edits are. User friendly is nice, but if you're talking about an app that gets used once a month for five minutes a crack, it's hard to see where the cost of writing a new app from scratch is justified. Unless you've got loads of free time, of course. ;-) Oh, if this file's contents control nuclear generators, then maybe you'd skip DFU and go with an ILE-RPG program from scratch instead. You get the point. - Dan Bale +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
