Beside granting authority to quser for that profile, if it is a powerful
profile
that may be dangerous) you could also use Add Job Schedule Entry
(ADDJOBSCDE)
use the option for frequency *once and save *no. The system would submit
the
job:

    ADDJOBSCDE JOB(MYJOB)
           CMD(SBMJOB)
           FRQ(*ONCE)
           SAVE(*NO)
           USER(THEPROFILE)

Or you can 'Nest' a submit job

I am trying to submit a job on a remote AS/400 using the
SBMRMTCMD. THis job needs to run with a specific user
profile, so I'm specifying that user profile in the USER
parameter. When I do this, I'm getting an error saying
that I'm not authorized to the user profile. My assumption
is that some profile like QUSER is actually used to run
the command on the remote system. Can anyone help
me with this?

TIA, Joe Teff
