Joe, Try creating a jobd on the remote system with that user in it. Then
when submitting the job use USER(*JOBD)

Subject: Specifying a user on the SBMJOB

I am trying to submit a job on a remote AS/400 using the
SBMRMTCMD. THis job needs to run with a specific user
profile, so I'm specifying that user profile in the USER
parameter. When I do this, I'm getting an error saying
that I'm not authorized to the user profile. My assumption
is that some profile like QUSER is actually used to run
the command on the remote system. Can anyone help
me with this?

TIA, Joe Teff
