        I've been using the CA/400 DLLs as ActiveX add-ons for years.
I've was able to encapsulate them into a set of objects I call ActiveX
AS/400 Objects. I haven't worked directly with the IBM supplied ActiveX
components but have heard that the haven't stood up to certain tasks.
I've been able to get lightning response times with these DLLs for
anything from a Excel macro to an Microsoft IIS active server pages.
