[Tim McCarthy] Review the thread. The original poster had wanted to be able to re-assign the address of a data structure - in particular ones copied from QSYSINC. It was pointed out that basing these structures on a pointer would accomplish the desired result but he seemed to really want the ability to change a variables' address on the fly. That, as Jon Paris wrote, cannot be done in any language - you can change the address stored in a pointer but you can't change the address of the pointer.
