1. Make sure you have all your source. If you are not using a source control program like Aldon's CMS, you should. You will need observability. 2. Make sure all your products are convertible. Contact your vendors. Watch out! A lot of vendors charge you for changing versions! 3. Make sure your backup tape drive will work. Be sure to upgrade the tape drive and the microcode. 4. If your drives are non-IBM (ours were IPL company) watch out! IBM does not warrantee or even try to estimate the conversion time. Ours took 2 days.
