Please be more specific e.g. Processor, DASD, Type & > Model etc. This, IMHO, is an unanswerable question. If you're running inventory control with 100 transactions a day, a 150 would be fine -- probably fine for Y2K testing of a larger system as well. However, nobody buying a new version of BPCS is running V3R7M0, nor are they running just INV. DASD and memory requirements are going to vary by your transaction volume, whether or not you're doing development on the box, and how many modules are being run. Most of my clients have quad processor 530's or 640's, and are considering 7xx upgrades. Then again, these clients have 2-300 concurrent users and a huge transaction volume -- should I recommend this configuration to everyone? No. Would I use it for Y2K testing? No, we've used everything from a 150 to a 50S for this sort of thing. I just don't see how a minimum configuration could be specified... Regards! Dean Asmussen Enterprise Systems Consulting, Inc.
