Yes, one of my COMMON gripes.  I heard a rumor that we don't get any better
rates from the housing authority because our outrageous room rates go in part
to subsidize the rest of the conference facilities.  I don't know though, my
"facts" about the guest program that I used in my presentation to MOM came
straight from the participants of that program as told to them by its leaders
and ended up being wrong...

Hey, you didn't have to eat a lot in SF for a large bill!  Soup and sandwich
for my wife and myself for lunch at the Mariott was $40+ with tip!!!  Besides,
you're not fat -- just puffed up with righteous indignation over IBM's
marketing of the AS/400 ;-)...
