Jim, You can use the Copy To Stream File command (CPYTOSTMF). It uses the IFS style path names (qsys.lib/mylib.lib/myfile.file...). You can also specify that there is not translation if you want. If you are looking for a commercial product that can do this and convert the file to CSV or tab-delimited format take a look at our CrossData/400 product: http://www.patownsend.com HTH, Patrick jim_anderson@kandkinsurance.com wrote: > > Is there a way that I can copy an AS/400 Native File (native file structure > format) into a Directory (not folder, but a Directory). > > Jim Anderson > > +--- > | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! > | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. > | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. > | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. > | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com > +--- -- IBM AS/400 communications, FTP automation, and network security software and consulting services. http://www.patownsend.com
