Ron,
No offense to any of the other respondents, but using the ECS modem can cause some headaches. I inherited a setup like that. Someone here had purchased the BosaNova stuff and it wants to use the ECS modem. Well so does IBM Service Director, IBM Performance Monitor, etc. and of course, one of our software providers. We are in the process of going from an NCR Unix box to the AS/400 so their (the software vendor) use will drop off once that is done... But I wouldn't want Service Director getting bumped when trying to report a serious error because a user is on ! We chose Synapse; I'd talk to Jerry about it. Good stuff !! Chuck Ron Sposito wrote: I am looking for a reliable way to dial into my AS400 from a remote PC. We are currently using a twinax protocol converter that worked great under DOS. But once we went to the Windows version of the software - performance went way down. Any suggestions ? Thanks |
