Hello Neil,

You could use the List Job (USLJOB) API to list active jobs and check for those 
interactive jobs with a status 
of *ACTIVE and SRQ.  You would need to use Optional Parameter Group 2 and 
specify the appropriate key values 
for the JOBL0200 format.  You could subset the job list according to the job 
(device) name.  This API is 
described in the SPIR.  

You would also need to know the console device name which I think you can get 
from the QCONSOLE system value.
