We were getting one of our AS/400s ready for the COMMON show when we realized
that it was still on V3R1. Its a
portable AS/400, P02. (Before I get the 10000 questions why its CISC, its
because there is no portable RISC
box, the 170s that we have are just too big & heavy to Lug around). So we
decided to upgrade it to V3R2, and
when we do, we keeping getting an SRC of B111 1803, which states device not
ready. It is ready, we can use the
device under OS/400, we can allocate it under DST, but for some reason we cant
see it as the "D" device when we
IPL. So after looking at a WRKHDWPRD, we realize that there is no Alternate
IPL device on this box.

Has anyone experienced this, and what did you do to get around it.
