There area  offerings on the market that  can externalise the  files,
convert  the code to native, and remediate Y2K as well. Now  that is  three
projects in one[more comples] and not a pure Y2K conversion effort.  But
if there is time and  it  works for your situation - Go  for it. - -Be done
with it now
