John,

I've never trusted ZD as a independent and reliable source of computing
information.  Heck, I don't trust any publication that always features the "Hot
New" stuff and never goes back to look at the implications of product lines that
are second and third generations old (Motorcycle and Car magazines do this a lot
also).  So, sure, ZD is a shill for Wintel, but I don't lose any sleep over
that.  What does bother me is that more respectable publications like
ComputerWorld regularl overlook the AS/400.  I guess if it isn't broke, then
there is nothing to write about huh?
