RE: AS/400 to AS/400 not by LAN

Does this work then with a null modem cable I have not seen it done from
AS/400 to AS/400, any examples of what the configs look like at all? The
machines will be sitting right by each other.

Are these machines in close proximity to one another?  If so, you could use
a
null modem cable and Passthrough.
