Simple answer - don't do it - it will make you go blind ! More complicated answer. Check the Y2K issues of Midrange Computing and News/400. Midrange also have a White Paper on Y2K. All of these provide valuable information as does Rochester's Y2K web site (which contains the text of some of the articles). In particular check out http://www.softmall.ibm.com:80/as400/y2sysdat.html which covers AS/400 System Date changes. Summary of long answer - don't do it - it will make you go blind ! - buy a new workbench system for your Y2K testing and use it as a development box, Domino server, etc. when you are done. Alternatively take up the option to do a short term system rental. Everyone I know who did the system date change wishes they hadn't!
