You can execute multiple QM queries from a thing called a QM procedure. (I don't think you can use substitution variables in CL, though.) The command to execute one of these is STRQMPRC. Concerning commitment and journalling, you can use an 'isolation clause'. I just tried it on a QMQRY and it works. The isolation clause takes the form 'with nc|ur|cs|rs|rr'. Maybe that'll help things. Check the SQL reference, chapter 4, I think.
