IMO, separate your multiformat files into separate physicals and use a joined
logical if you realllly have to.

Even if your transition is via AS/400 S/36EE, the 15 file limit is now just a
warning in RPGII.

This would make it easier to begin replacing programs and functions with a full
native solution.
