A client called me today with something I have never seen. They had several jobs running on their AS400 called QDBSRVxxxxx (where xxxxx is a sequence number). Each job showed that it was building and index (-IDX) and really hogging up the system. The users reported no problems with the system, it has not gone down and I searched the QHST log and found nothing unusual before and around the time the jobs started running. Any ideas here, what are these jobs and what started them running? TIA Carl Carl J.
