What e-mail package are you using? I've moved from Exchange to Outlook Express to Outlook 97 to Outlook 98 between 3 machines and never lost a message. You should be able to do the same in most e-mail systems. BTW the move to Outlook 98 was also a move to NT on my notebook. -Walden -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Chuck Lewis Sent: Wednesday, March 25, 1998 4:53 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Converting Messages into Some Sort of Database... Hi Folks, JUST wondering (as I prepare to move to my 5th PC/3rd notebook in 3 years...); has ANYONE come upon a way to turn message "threads" into a database ? I tend to keep a TON of messages from this list, divided up and saved into folders by area or something (i.e. Client Access, Languages, etc.) because there is a TON of good information provided by this list and if I don't need it today, I'll need it next week, next month, etc PLUS this is a good list of INVALUABLE contacts :-). It is getting to be more and more of a hassle to be moving e-mail from one computer to another (ESPECIALLY with my current move being to NT...). ANYONE else done this, have any ideas, seen any tools ? Thanks in advance !! -- Chuck "The opinions that are shown, are exclusively my own.
