Maybe I'm not reading my license agreements well enough, but I'm not
familiar with any software that won't allow me to install it on as many
machines as I like, AS LONG AS, it's only installed on one machine at any
one time. (i.e.. I must install, use, uninstall, install, use, uninstall,
etc)

Some, but not all, agreements even allow it to be installed on multiple
machines at the same time as long as you are only using one of these
machines at any given point in time.

 I think you missed my point.  Very few software vendors structure their
licensing agrrement to allow consultants copying the software from machine
to machine.  Using a laptop is very uncomfortable to me when using it for
extended periods of time, so it's not even a consideration.

 Also, Snap-On doesn't say that you can only use your tools in the first
bay!!
