BPCS is a manufacturing application software system developed by System
Software Associates (SSA) in Chicago. BPCS stands for Business Process
Control System, although some contend "Big Pile of Chicken, uh, Stuff" or
"Better Programs Coming Soon". The package is usually better suited to
process control manufacturers such as injection molders or pharmaceutical
groups, but has "specialty" versions available for the automotive industry and
others. The current version is primarily written in SSA's proprietary
"AS/Set" CASE tool. For more information, check out www.ssax.com, or write me
directly on specific issues. In addition, David has generously provided a
BPCS LISTSERV similar to Midrange-L -- send an e-mail to BPCS-L-
SUB@MIDRANGE.COM to subscribe. Subject and text are irrelevant in the latter
instance...

Regards!
