Hi, Doug: Well, that *has* to have something to do with it... but you tell us: is that the main difference? Are CPU loads, number of attached users, number of batch jobs, number of active writers, ... are all these things equal on the two systems? Food for thought Dennis Lovelady Simpsonville, SC life: dennis@lovelady.com work: dennis.lovelady@kemet.com www: http://cybercity.piedmont.net/~dennis ICQ UIN: 5734860 Doug Barnes <Doug.Barnes@RHTelCo.Com> on 02/03/98 11:13:58 AM To: MIDRANGE-L <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> @ INTERNET cc: Subject: WRKACTJOB We have a 510 that takes 10-15 seconds to respond after a WRKACTJOB command. We also have another 510 (same processor) that only takes 2 or less. The one that takes a long time shows 27000+ jobs when a WRKSYSSTS is run. The other on only has 2700 jobs. Is that the main difference? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
