You may be missing some PTFs, although I don't recall this being a problem.
You don't provide a code sample, but what you're doing should work so I think
you must have something else wrong.  I've tested the following code using the
VisualAge RPG compiler, and it works just fine.


     D ISODate         S               D   DatFmt(*ISO) Inz(D'1997-12-25')
     D DatePkd6        S              6P 0
     D DateZnd6        S              6S 0

     C     *MDY          Move      ISODate       DatePkd6
     C     *MDY          Move      ISODate       DateZnd6
