We've a number of files that are set up this way, as well as others that
use a field for, in our case, 'company'—analogous to 'plant'. We find that
the separate libraries make for rather unwieldy library list manipulations,
but there's so much legacy that we can't easily change things.

Also, multiple libraries do not translate easily to other platforms, esp.
using SQL.

Can you say more about benefits of the multiple library method? Personally,
I don't see much benefit.
