Couple of things:

1.) Depending on your SMTP mail setup you should be able to have mail
records destined for the AS/400 routed to the new mail address. This
would probably be the easiest to setup and manage. Example: I have two
mail addresses mike@ball.com and mcrump@ballfoster.com. Our mail server
routes mike@ball.com to my POP3 account on my AS/400 and
mcrump@ballfoster.com to my Notes server. It should be relatively easy
to change mike@ball.com to also point to my Notes Server. I'm not very
up to speed with mail server details but this should work. I'm also not
sure if
in your case that you will only be using one account and it would be
changed
as part of your change over? It may be easiest to not maintain multiple
mail accounts....

2.) You don't need OV/400 to use the AS/400 as a POP3 server so you
could still allow users to access the AS/400 with a POP3 client. The setup
is managed in the system directory entry (WRKDIRE).

3.) You can use the command QRYDST to help monitor and control these
mail entries. With a little bit of coding you should be able to use this
command
and the SNDDST to reroute mail yourself.

4.) IBM has a product called Mail Forward (?) that allows you to setup and
manage forwarded mail accounts. You can use this to help automate
the forwarding of mail from the AS/400 to the other mail box. I don't
think
it costs a lot.....all things being relative of course.
