You could try something like:

Select count(*), ' ', ' ', ' ', 0, 0 from filename union
Select 0, alphafld1, alphafld2, alphafld3, numfld1, numfld2 from filename
order by 1 desc

The zeros and blanks are just place holders.  It may run slower.
