If you are using TCP/IP, then the info is not passed on. If you are using APPC (over a router), then it is still possible to bypass signon, I think.

There is still a security issue here—if you use password caching, then anyone starting your PC gets a connection to the AS/400, at the level of authority of the user under whom the connection is made. It behooves us to be careful, I think.
